Mrs. Alphageek and I recently rented a movie to watch. Do you ever see one of those movies with great acting, but you keep saying "come on, come on, get to the point?" Probably you don't, but I do. Either way, when the movie is over, you go "great acting, but not as much plot as I like". Then There will be Blood is almost certainly for you.

My quick review? Unless you want to see a main character with a real drinking problem, you might want to hold out for something with aliens in the movie or Spring Break in the movie title. Even watching a movie with a main character that consumes a large amount of alcohol could not convince the Alphageek to open up the liquor cabinet for a drink. I think Mrs. Alphageek felt about the same about the movie, although she probably does not care about the drinking.
