We stopped by here because this is one of my favorite places in Greenville, SC to get a cup of coffee. If you are driving by the Coffee Underground, you are missing out on one good cup of coffee, as well as some other tasty breakfast items.
We stopped by on Black Friday and they were serving their house blend of coffee, which is roasted on the premises. I found it to be a great cup of coffee served by folks who know their product, which is a sentiment a geek like me can really get behind.
I had a build an omelet bowl. I will say it is the best breakfast I have had in a while. Mine had great fresh onions, peppers, tomatoes and mushrooms to go along with the ham and eggs. I love simple, perfectly cooked items and my omelet bowl hit the mark.
Mrs. Alphageek had a breakfast sandwich, which she enjoyed tremendously. It was a toothsome bagel with ham, egg, cheddar cheese and a slice of tomato that actually tasted like a tomato.
The Coffee Underground has a large menu with items that look great at any time of day. I also happened to notice they have beer taps in back of the coffee bar, so you might even stop here for a cold one in the evening. The menu consists of sandwiches, appetizers, and desserts. The also have a large assortment of frozen drinks on the menu. If my breakfast was any indication, this would be a great place to check out any time of day.
